Selection notes:
Select alarm beacons based on the nature of the alarm, the beacons direct
visibility to personnel, the area covered, the beacon's physical size and
material, the preferred method of protection (Intrinsic Safety or Flameproof)
and of course, the certification requirements of the area where the beacon will
be located. Consideration should also be given to whether a person could have
their back turned to the beacon and the reflectivity of the surrounding area. In
cases where the alarm is of utmost importance e.g. emergency evacuation, the
rotating mirror models have the highest chance of visibility. For lesser alarms,
selection can be based on the lamp power of the beacon and in confined areas,
the outputs up to 6 Joules are normally adequate.
Intrinsically
Safe Beacons are suitable for local alarm operation, where line-of sight
will normally be achieved.

Explosionproof Alarm Sounder/Siren Combination

website.
The BExB models come with standard Stainless steel lens guard which is optional
on the other models. All models are available with Red, Yellow, Amber, Green,
Blue or Clear lenses. Please specify the desired lens colour.
