Analogue Input Barriers

Transmitter Safety Barriers

These barriers are used to provide power for loop powered intrinsically safe transmitters or smoke detectors in the hazardous area. Some models are also used to isolate and transfer an i.s. current or voltage signal from the hazardous area to the safe area. Care must be exercised in ensuring that the power supplied by these barriers does not exceed the maximum safety values permissible for the field device. These values are shown on the certificate or seen in the data sheets, both of which can be accessed by clicking on the links.

These barriers often transfer the analogue input from an I.S. field transmitter back to the PLC or DCS System. Products listed are part of huge range available.

The value transmitted in the loop may be displayed on a Panel Mounted Digital Indicator or on a Field Mounted Digital Indicator.
