Injection Moulder Guarding

Application:
Point-of-operation guarding of an automated access door used for removal of moulded parts.

Description:
The door opens at the end of each moulding cycle to allow the machine operator to remove mixed parts before the next cycle. A new cycle cannot be initiated if the light screen is interrupted. If the light screen is interrupted while the door is closing, the door will reverse direction, and the cycle will be cancelled.

Guarding:
A light screen is installed in front of (outside) the door, which prevents the door from closing and prevents the machine from cycling whenever the light curtain is interrupted.

Lightscreen:
MICRO-SCREEN system.
