Diffuse direct detecting sensors are manufactured with an
light emitter and receiver in a single unit. They are designed to directly
detect objects by capturing the small percentage of emitted light that is
reflected back to the sensor from the object, without the need for a separate
reflector or receiver. The emitted light is projected in a broad (diffused)
pattern to give the receiver a wide field of view. Don't forget to order the plug and lead (cordset)
also if ordering a sensor with a connector.
